Besides being an accomplished songwriter, performer, and music video pioneer, Michael Nesmith is also a big time Hollywood movie producer. Well, ok, he's produced a few films. Repo Man - 1984 Cast: Emilio Estevez, Harry Dean Stanton, Vonetta McGee, Sy Richardson, Tracey Walter, Olivia Barash, Susan Barnes, Fox Harris, The Circle Jerks Director: Alex Cox Square Dance (Home Is Where The Heart Is) - 1987 Cast: Jason Robards, Jane Alexander, Winona Ryder, Rob Lowe, Guich Koock, Deborah Richter, Elbert Lewis Director: Daniel Petrie Tapeheads - 1988 Cast: John Cusack, Tim Robbins, Mary Crosby, Connie Stevens, Doug McClure, Lyle Alzado, Clu Gulager, Katy Boyer, Jessica Walter, Susan Tyrrell, Junior Walker, Sam Moore Director: Bill Fishman Nesmith makes a brief appearance in this film as the bottled water delivery man. At one point, all of the above were available on Pacific Arts Video. I don't know if they're still available. Nesmith also played a cabbie in the 1987 film "Burglar", starring Whoopie Goldberg. He is currently producing a film adaptation of Douglas Adams' "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". Jason Nesmith (Michael's son, unless it's another Jason Nesmith) appeared as a child in the 1980 film "The Man Who Saw Tomorrow", about Nostradamus, narrated by Orson Welles.
