I've loved you guys for 5 years. You're the greatest, and i wish you would 
do a gig here (in Adelaide!) there are so many fans here you have to

The Monkees were a product 
brought to us by an oportuinist and businessman, Don Kershner. The Monkees 
were what white middle aged America wanted their children to see, clean, 
funny and safe white kids. The true artistic talent being "The Rolling 
Stones" and drug induced "Sargent Pepper's". I carried a grudge for Don's 
cleaned wrapped "product" of the sixties. No talent only a formula for 
success.

Hey all.... I was just on 
a Royal Caribbean Cruise that sailed from 10/24 - 10/31, and the highlight 
of my cruise (aside from the beautiful islands!) was to see Mickey Dolenz 
perform with his sister Coco!  :)

I've been a Monkees fan since I was about 9 (I'm 29 now!) and I have every 
album that they put out, however, I have never seen them perform.. so it 
was really kind of cool to see 1/4 of the band... and he was excellent.. 
Very talented, has a nice voice and was very comical...

I never missed the Monkees on Monday 
night at 6:30.  It was the only show my mom let us watch during dinner. In 
the spring of 1967, I saw them in concert in Wichita, KS.  They were great.  
Their opening act was the Fifth Dimension.  So much fun.

Hello from England I have 
been a Monkees fan since 1967 and have followed their careers over the 
years ever since.  As well as a wife and mum, I am now a mature music 
student studying for a BA Hons Degree and have been working a 
musician/songwriter and recording engineer for a number of years.  My music 
was influenced by the early Monkees stuff.  Especially Mike's 'Sweet Young 
Thing'.  It is still an ambition to collaborate with Mike on a song. Any

Hello fellow Monkees fans!  I've 
been a believer since my sister was a fan. She had the albums, pictures, 
and the talking monkees doll! I saw the reunited Monkees (sans Mike) twice 
on LI, NY in '86, Micky and Davy doing a lunchtime show at World Trade 
Center in '95, and Micky, Peter, and Davy again Summer of '97.  Their shows 
are always filled with fun and great tunes.  Micky Dolenz is my favorite 
because of his humour, and great singing voice - he is unique in his vocal 
styling and the most unappreciated singers in the biz.  This is a great 
website and I love all the pictures you have on here and being able to 
gather with other monkees fans to celebrate the pre-fab four.

I remember watching the Monkees on TV when 
I was younger and thinking how great they were. Now that they are out and 
about again I just love it. I just bought their greatest hits CD and love 
it. All my favorites are on it, from Day Dream Beliver to Last Train to 
Clarksville. It's hard to find music out there were you can understand and 
dance to like those guy's. Let's hope they keep it up for a long time to

nothing but collected Monkee stuff in it.  We collect everything that has

last two world concerts.  I begame a fan when I was in 6th grade and even 
now that I'm a freshman (1999)I love them even more.  I LOVE ALL OF YOU

I grew up 
with the Monkees, and David Jones was and still is my favorite, in here we 
had a special about the Monkees new CD's and i saw them all on television i 
CRACKED UP MAN to see how they look now and there are still good looking 
and when i saw David dancing the same way  he's so cool well i think i am 
still in LOVE...

left me with a permanent scar in the shape of a *smile* beneath my 
bellybutton to remind me of my favorite Monkee memory.

The Monkees phenomenom has been 
popular for quite a while now. I have been a fan since i was a little girl. 
The show was a big hit in the 60's as well as the music. I was honored when 
i got to meet Micky and Davy. Even though the show is canceled i know that

Used to watch the Monkees every Saturday morning at 11am.  I was about 
10 or 11 years old.  I'm now 37 and watch whenever I see them on or 
something told about them.  My favorite was always Nesmith.  Loved that 
hat!!

Monkee's ruled my world when I first saw them as a teen and still rule it 
now!  My 16 year old daughter knows better than to turn down the volume

    I've been a fan since the very beginning, and though the flame may have 
dimmed some years, it's still there, nonetheless.  Sure would like to hear 
from some of my fellow fans out there.  What a wonderful discovery to make!

worked with Davy Jones on the LATE 60s when the Monkees were big. Davy gave 
my dad his personal coffee cup to give to me..It is still sitting on my

I can't say I am a big fan 
of the Monkees, but I enjoy their music and have seen Micky play in the 
Georgia Dome. My wife's friend knows Micky Dolenz and I got a chance to 
meet him when he played here in Atlanta. He is a real nice guy, he took a 
picture with us and we got to talk with for a while. We plan to meet him 
again when we go out to California.

best rock group and I think it's because of the success of their show and

Micky on Circus Boy! It may be true that the boys were a manufactured 
sound, but it was a great sound. Great song writing and production quality. 
Jack douglas did a real good job on 4th album.... Piscis, Aquarius, etc. I 
love that album best and the Porpoise Sng from 'Head'. I guess I'm stuck in

concert in Portland, OR in 1967 and everybody screamed.  I saw them again

I was about 9 years old when the Monkees premiered on TV, and experiencing 
them has cobeen a major influence in my life. After years and years of 
enjoying Monkee music, I had the pleasure of seeing the Monkees minus Mike 
at the Indiana Stat Fairgrounds inwhat was probably 1990 or so. Even though 
I am a professional author/photographer who has meet and interviewed lots 
of contemporary rock musicians, I was overwhelmed to be able to FINALLY see 
and hear the guys. It was a night I will always remember--it rates right up 
there with the birth of my 2 children.

I raised my niece on Monkees episodes and music, and she accompanied me to 
the concert when she was only age 10. Now, I have an 8 year old and a 4 
year old, and I'm raising them on the Monkees, too. It's so wonderful to 
find out that there are many others like me out on the 'net--young and old 
but young-at-heart--who continue to love the Monkees.

When the Monkees were first on TV, they were featured on every teen 
magazine in the world, primarily Tiger Beat and 16 Magazine. I have saved 
every issue with anything on the Monkees, and I still have them in 
safe-keeping today. I was lucky enough to record MTV's Monkee Marathon, 
which aired about 10 years ago, too. Additionally, I've purchased Monkees 
videos from Rhino Records, and they are a great place to get Monkee 
stuff--collectables, books, videos, recordings, t-shirts, etc. 
(www,rhino.com) They also sell a complete collection of all Monkee episodes 
along with the movie "Head" for about $300. Gee, I wish I could afford 
that, but I do thinkk it is overpriced. I'd be able too get $200 to buy the 
collection, but $300 is way too much. Rhino also sells a copy of the 
Monkees' first TV special, which aired in about 1968 or so.

If any of the Boys read this message, I am a published author and 
award-winning editor, and I's love to act as a ghost writer for any of them 
at any time! Anyone who has a Monkee-related book in need of revision or 
assistance in authoring, editing, or manuscript developmemnt, please 
contact me. I'd consider it the high point of my career--without a doubt. 
The book "The Monkees Tale" by Eric Lefcowitz is an excellent read, and I 
recommend it highly. (Eric, do you need some assistance on keeping your

After seeing all you Monkees fans' messages here, I realize I'm not alone 
in wanting to live the "Pleasant Valley Sunday" life. Having the Boys part 
of my life is something so meaningful to me that I cannot express the 
gratitude I feel toward Davy, Peter, Mickey, and Mike for the countless 
hours of enjoyment, entertainment, reflection, and contemplation they have 
given me. Thank you, Boys! I could never put a price on what you've meant 
to me. (I've loved you all since I first saw you, and now I'm 42, but I 
still feel the same excitement I did when I was 10 when it comes to YOU!)

I have seen several messages from fans in the Indiana area. Wouldn't it be 
great to get together and have a Monkees Festival? if you are in Indiana

great fan of the guys from day one.  I would never miss any of their 
episodes when the show came out in the mid 60's.  I haven't been able to 
find any info on the guys until now, so this is wonderful finding all these

Hey all Monkees fans.. im only 17, but i 
love the Monkees. I have a Monkees lunch box, and I made my parents take it 
to a Davy Jones concert, to get it signed (It was in a casino, and im not 
old enough to get in) so they took it, and it is now autographed by Davy. 
Now i just have to track down the rest of the Monkees, and it will be

always be, da bomb.  I LOVE the MOnkees, and no matter what anyone says, i 
will dig them until the day I die.  "PLEASANT VALLEY SUNDAY" all the way 
man!!!  "Head" was by far, however , my favorite (or one of my favorite 
perhaps)piece by the group. I mean, c'mon, where else do you get to see 
your childhood fantasy boy(s) all high and tripped out on acid?? :)  I love

I have been a fan of the 
monkees since I was 9 and am going to turn 22 this year. I saw The MOnkees 
in 97 at Hampton Beach and saw Micky perform with the Teen Idols Tour in 
Mass. IT was such and awsome concert... i was yelling "I love you Micky" 
right in front of him the whole time... It was awsome!!!!!

Love you guys!! I am the 
presidedent of Head of The Monkees fan club, and love every minute that I 
do it. It's wonderful to see everyone doing so much. Keep up the touring,

I 
met Micky in 1967 or so. I had to point him out to my friends because they 
didn't recognize him. He had full beard and longer than normal hair. He 
quietly permitted us to take his picture....and then.... we all proceeded 
to hike to the top of Mount Whitney....the tallest mountain in the 
continental U.S. We went our separate ways at the top.  As we were driving 
home from where we parked our car , I noticed a new red Mercedes 
convertable with a monkey hanging from the rear view mirror. Been a 
Circus-Boy fan ever since!

I am a big fan, you guys were really cool and funny.

I 
cannot believe that I am putting my name in a Monkees Fan book. I never 
admitted that I like the Monkees, but I feel it's time to come out of the 
closet and announce my past attraction to them. 

I grew up in Australia where I 
collected the whole set of Monkees bubble gum cards (that make up a full 
poster jigsaw on the back) and remember staring at a particular cover of an 
EP for hours - if you jiggled it up and down, left and right, it was quite 
a psychaedelic (?) experience!!  Lived for the TV series, wanted the car - 
still got the buuble gum cards and a couple of mags - and I'm 43!! Life 
would have been "only shades of grey" without the Monkees!

I 
have gotten to meet Davey Jones, Peter Tork and Mickey Dolenz, they have 
all been very nice to meet. Its a shame that they weren't a little nicer 
though. Oh well

I've been a Monkees fan 
ever since I first saw them in 1986 for their 20th reunion tour and ever 
since them, I've been a major Monkee fan.  I think that any body who wasn't 
around back in the 60's, and who love old groups (such as myself) have the 
right idea on things. For all you Monkee fans- Keep Monkeeing around.  PS I 
LOVE MICKY!

I have loved all the guys since 
their first arrival song. I was just a teenager then, and though they and I 
are older they are still wonderful. Keep up the good work guys. The remeke 
will never be the same.

After 30 yrs, my dream of Meeting Davy 
Jones is now a reality.  And I must say that he was even nicer, sweeter, 
funnier, and more professional and charming than I ever could have imagined 
or asked for!  This man is professional in every since of the word!  He 
signed books and chatted with fans at the Hickory Hollow Mall in Nashville 
recently.  Davy seemed to genuinely be concerned about each person that 
stood in that 2 1/2 hour line to meet him.  He is my hero!  I was able to 
get him to autograph a picture of him with my daughter, taken about 4 yrs 
ago in Memphis.  TRULY A DREAM COME TRUE!  Davy, any time you're ready for 
a 38 yr old Southern gal, give me a call....Thanks for making a dream come 
true...GREAT BOOK, too :)

I have loved these guys for a 
very long time.  But being honest here, that feeling had slipped away for 
awhile....(sad, but true) and then, yesterday (apr.30,2000) I saw Davy in 
concert and wow!!  All those feelings came rushing back. What a great show 
it was.  (Thanks Davy!!)  And this site is great too!  Keep up the good

I remember when the Monkees 
first came out in '66. I loved the music then and to this day I still 
cherish the memories I have of those days.. Oh, to be young again. But, 
with the music I can still go back and remember the days and the music and, 
I love it just as much now as then. Monkees music will always be here and 
gazillions of us will be listening.

Whoa! I was just 
surfing the web and I came across this page. I am so excited because I have 
been a Monkees fan since 1985 (I think). All I know is that when I came 
home after spending the day in pre-school, my brother and I would tune to
Nickelodeon and watch the Monkees!! And one day I was humming the theme 
song and my dad asked where I had heard that song. And i told him all about 
how I watched the tv show. To my delight he had some old Monkees records, 
and a CD. Needless to say that when I could not watch them on tv I would 
listen to theor records. Well now it is 15 years later and I am graduating 
from the high school that Mike Nesmiths son went to for a year!! How cool 
is that!! Some of my friends are recent Monkee fans...'cause a few summers 
ago Nike At Nite showed the Monkees... I love the fact that the Monkees 
have this wonderful music and their show can be enjoyed by all. I just 
wanted to say that the Monkees have ment a lot to me.

I HAD EVER HEARD WHEN I WAS IN HIGH SCHOOL AND MY GIRL FRIEND AND I BOTH 
LOVED THEM. THEY HAD A WONDERFUL INFLUENCE ON US AS TEENS. ALTHOUGH 
EVERYONE ELSE WAS IN LOVE WITH THE BEATLES I REBELED AND LOVED THE MONKEES. 
MY GIRLFRIEND AND I WENT TO EVERYTHING WE COULD JUST TO SEE THEM AND WE 
BOUGHT EVERY MAGAZINE AVAILABLE AND SAME WITH THEIR SONGS. I EVEN WROTE A 
STORY/SKETCH AND SENT IT TO THEM AND GOT AN AUTOGRAPH FROM MICKEY DOLENZE. 
HE WAS MY ALL TIME FAVORITE. THIS MESSAGE IS BEING WRITTEN IN MEMORY OF MY 
BEST FRIEND LINDA KEITH. SHE DIED IN A TRAGIC CAR ACCIDENT AND I MISS HER 
VERY MUCH. I REGRET ARGUING WITH HER AND NOT TALKING TO HER WHEN I WAS 
UPSET WITH HER. ACCUALLY SHE WAS MY GUIDENCE AND INSPIRATION AND MY HIGH 
SCHOOL TIMES WERE THE BEST. 

I have grown up with the monkees and have spread this 
love for these men to my daughters many times we strolled down the halls 
arm in arm singing the theme to the monkees show. from the time they were 
little till they were grown also:) now I am singing monkee songs to my 
granddaughter and sharing the love of these songs with her. I will do this 
with all my grandchildren until i am an oldie myself:)

First I am glad to see in 
today's technology there is a place for the Monkees.  I have been a Monkee 
fan from the age of ten and have driven my parents crazy by trying to find 
their records before it was cool to have them for the retro tours of the 
late '80s.  But I am proud to say that they made a "monkee out of me" a 
long time ago and look forward in seeing the endevours the 4 get themselves

"Monkees" reruns on Nickelodeon when I was about 12 and I really thought I 
had stumbled onto something new until my Dad showed me all the "Monkees" 
albums that he still had from when he was younger! I still love the Monkees

Everyone!!! Waz up? I am Becky. I am 12 years old, and I love the 
monkees!!! I first herd them when my mom had the oldies radio station on, 
and The Last Train To ClarcksVille started to play. I really liked it so I 
asked my mom who sang it. Ever since then I have been a very big fan!!!! I 
started collecting their stuff when I was 7 years old. I now have over 65 
items!!!! If I sold my whole collection I would be a milloinare!!!! Some of 
my things include- a monkees lunchbox, all of thier records,a original 
handpuppet, and a Johny Lightening brand monkee mobile. I also have almost 
all of thier TV epesodes. I am only missing 2 or 3. My favorite epesode is 
the one Mickey wrote called The Frodis Caper. If you have not seen it I 
totally recomend it!!! Also I just positivly have to add before I stop 
writing that PETER TORK is my ALL TIME FAVORITE monkee, and that I have his 
and Mike`s autographs. I do not have Davy`s or Mickey`s, but hope to get

I just saw Davy Jones in concert for the first time at The 
Butler County Fairgrounds June 3,2000. What a show! He was fantastic! I 
loved his sense of humor and how he went down into the audience and shook 
peoples hands. I managed to get to the front of the stage, after much, much 
effort, and got three pictures of him! I hope they turn out. Great, great

Why doesn't anyone ever come to our town? :(  I've been a 
Monkees fan for over 15 years now, and even today, they are my favorite 
group.  Introducing their show and music to my German husband has been the 
most fun,too.  My favorite Monkee is Peter, though I think they are all

I've been a Monkees fan since the beginning (guess I'm

I've Been a Monkees fan for 
years. At one point I could play (guitar) and sing almost every song they 
had recorded (even Daily/Nightly). Of course I admire Mike for his musical 
talent, but all the guys are still a riot even to this day. If the guys 
need a guitarist for their next tour, I'm their man.

I love the Monkees! I am so happy now 
that school's out and that I am able to watch and record The Monkees t.v.

Wow has time gone 
by!   My sisters and I dug the tv show and the music. I had a group when I 
was in 6th grade back in 1968. There were three of us, known as the 
Electric Avocados.  Ricky Dickens played electric rythm guitar, Fred Stein 
played leadguitar, and I played the drums.  Our inspiration did come from a 
few sources, Doors, Beatles, and of course the MONKEES!!!!!!! Steppin' 
Stone!!!! Cool stuff. Love and Peace nic.

Whoah a Monkees page on the net! Brad this is quite simply a 
stunningly impressive site and a thouroughly informative and engaging 
resource for those of us like me who flit in and out of our Monkee phases 
as time goes by. I discovered this site about a week ago and have spent 
many many many happy hours catching up with what these guys have been upto 
since I last took a proper interest in them - I even went through most of 
the guest-book entries!!! - I know I REALLY should get a life!! There are 
some really freaky Monkees fans out there judging from some of the entries 
- be afraid Papa Nez and Davy in particular in fact be very afraid!! I 
remember watching the show on constant re-runs on morning kids TV during 
the summer holidays on BBC in the UK throughout the mid 80's so was 
thrilled to be able to see Peter,Micky, and David in the flesh in 
Nottingham on their tour of the UK in April 1989-it was a 17th birthday 
present and my first ever gig. I must have been to around 250-300 gigs 
since but that Monkee show is still in my top 10 concerts-who would have 
thought that cabaret could be such fun! Time passed and I didn't give the 
group much of a thought (though I did listen to the odd Monkee album every 
now and then) until my favourite radio show on BBC Radio 1 did a cult-film 
special on Head in about early 1996 so I got reaqainted with the group and 
bought some of the Rhino re-issues that came out at the time. Time passed
again and I was only vaguely aware that the boys were doing a tour of 
arenas in the UK in March 1997-I was listening to nothing but Hip-Hop at 
the time and came across a couple of reviews which panned the Justus album 
but it was mainly the thought of watching the guys in a souless and horrid 
arena(basically a glorified air craft hanger)which meant that I completely 
ignored those Monkees shows that year something I bitterly regret now - 
what was I thinking when Papa Nez was with them for what will almost 
certainly prove to have been the last time? - no excuses sorry boys! (BTW 
sorry to read various bits about the fairly acrimonious departure of Papa 
Nez right after those shows and the current fractious-to say the least- 
state of relations between the guys: from the UK press reviews I saw I can 
suggest that an already 'unsure as to whether I have still got the talent 
to write/perform songs ' frame of mind Nez was rather taken aback by the UK 
press's lambasting of the Monkees at that time and he just thought 'do I 
really need all this- no,so sod it' and who can blame him?). Then about a 
month ago I happened on an ad for Peters show at the Borderline club in 
London and on the same day came across the Justus CD in a bargain bin sale 
at the Virgin megastore on Oxford Street in London for £3.99 (thats about 
$5.50 for those of you dealing in real money!) so I thought wot the hell 
I'll give it a listen at that price (there are still some left in Virgin 
for those of you in London so form an orderly queue now! Oh and they are 
American copies so now we know where Rhino have sent all those unsold 
copies to!!) Although Peters appalling efforts on that album put me off 
going to see him at his London show(!!) it did encourage me to dig out my 
old Monkees stuff and see if there was anything on the web about them, 
hence I stumbled across this fantastic site. And now I'm hooked again - I 
never realised the boys had so many records out there and I'm just gonna 
have to start tracking them down-espesh the box-set. So thanks Brad for 
re-lighting my fire for the best garage band that was never allowed to be 
one. BTW Peter was apparently great at his recent show so I missed out 
again -DOH! And finally I'm not sure if many are aware of this but if you 
click on the 'Buy Monkees CD's etc' you get through to Amazon.com who list 
all the Monkee stuff there is to buy, and wonderfully you can do your own 
review of the particular video,album etc.. to help others make their minds 
up about what to buy and some of the reviews are really very good and 
informative indeed - I just had to add my honest opinion on the Justus 
album which should be posted up in a coupla days - happy reading!

At what concerts did Hendrix play with the Monkees?  I saw the Monkees at 
Olympia Stadium in '67, but don't remember who opened.  (I DO remember they 
had to change the date because of the riots, I think there was some actual 
damage to the stadium, so there's some trivia for you.)

  I love the Monkees!!!   
They are soo funny and hope they will make another movie for I liked the 
one Mike Nesmith directed.  I really love them all.  I love all the show 
they did and wished they could have made more.

Love the Monkees....had no earthly idea 
that had released another album since That was then...... :)  I am glad 
they did.  I think they sound great.   Isn't funny....men get better

was good to reminisce about the show and the mania we had for the guys, and 
to learn and understand about their personal struggles during and after the 
show.  Although fans fell in love with a perceived image, the movie's 
revelations about your lives apart from the camera only make us appreciate 
you more, and hope you will still give those of us fans who didn't have the 
opportunity to see you in concert another chance.  If you're (Mike, Micky,

I was lucky enough to see the Monkees in 
concert in 1967 in NYC (Forest Hills).  They were great and it was very 
exciting.  I also went to see them in 1986.  I took my 4 year old daughter 
and I was 8 months pregnant at the time for my 2nd daughter.  They are both 
very loyal Monkee fans.  We've bridged the generation gap through the taped
rerun Monkee shows.  I hope I get to take them both to a Monkee concert 
some day.

I love Daydream Believers - the 
Monkees Story, on VH1. I'm addicted to it - I can't turn it off when I come 
across it! I thought the actors did a great job of "capturing" the basics. 
It's amazing how the Monkees find new fans with each generation. In 1986, 
when I was 17 years old, I first discovered the Monkees thanks to MTV. Now, 
a new generation will discover them thanks to VH1 - with both the movie, 
and, the Behind the Music episode!

Wow I can't believe that there are 
Monkees fans out there. This so so great.  I've loved watching the Monkees 
when I was a kid and I'm so glad that they're finally showing them again. I 
love the show so much, the music the laughs.  They're just so great to 
watch, and Davy, Micky, Mike and Peter are so adorable, especially Davy.  
He's always been my favorite.  I had a crush on him since 1966 when the 
Monkees started. I was only 4 at the time.  My favorite episode is Monkees 
on the High Seas because Davy does a swashbuckling thing like those old 
movies with Errol Flynn or Ronald Coleman.  He looked so cute in that white 
shirt with the poofy sleeves and that accent was drove me nuts. I even 
bought a couple of videotapes with a 2 episodes on each but I couldn't find 
any more. So if there are any New Yorkers out there who have seen them in a 
store somewhere, please e-mail me and let me know where I can buy them.  

  The new movie Daydream Believers was 
excellent, and Aaron Lohr did a very nice job playing Micky.  They all did 
a good job.  Maybe I will get to see more of them, which won't be so hard 
because Aaron has been in so many different movies, tv shows, and

I was a huge fan back in the 60's when I was a little girl.  Now, although 
I'm a big country music fan, I still love the Monkees.  I just saw the 
movie "Daydream Believer" on TV and it kind of depressed me.  We all 
thought their songs were great, but for the most part, they didn't 
(especially Mike).  Bet they never dreamed they'd still have so many fans 
today!

hi, i think i would have to say,the first time a started watching the 
monkeys tee vee show i twuzz just about 6 years old. i had just settled 
down from watching saturday morning cartoons,when on the old portable black 
and white television, there where wow, some guys that really made me laugh. 
from then on i was hooked-in mind there still demi-gods of my child 
hood.(well between throwing rocks at windows,and pulling my sisters 
hair).since then, some how they are still in my thoughts(oh eee you get 
out-no you with the hat can stay.ohkay you can all stay-but watch your 
monkey isms..lets say though i think they got a bum rap. i hope that they 
don't dislike one another,(as the vh-1 movie hints at. any way they will be 
with me always as a favorite music,favorite humor,and amazing group ever to

I am 24 and I love Mike Nesmith! It does not matter to me that he is a 
lot older than me. I have thought he was the cutest since i was ten years

I am only 13 but have loved The Monkees since I can remember.  I 
watched the TV shows with my mom when I was only three.  But I luckly got a 
new dose of Monkeemaina in jjuly when The Monkees marathon was on VH1.  I 
recorded all of the episodes I saw and then recorded Behind the Music and 
Daydream Beleivers:The Monkees Story.  Now my sister and I have watched 
that movie so much that we know all of the words and all of the songs.  Of

trailer, and there's no room for us in it anymore.  I just wrote because I

Hi, neat site!  The Monkees came on 
when I was 1, and I was a fan from the time I could talk (My mom has a 
drawing of the guys I did in red crayon when I was about 4--they look more 
like spiders).  Does anyone have any knowledge about the "Hey, Hey, We're

i've loved them 
and their music since i was 8. i met all of them in 1975 in wayzata, 
mn.except mike. we spent some time outside sitting on the car outside 
during the intermission and after the show.we(me and Davy) went to this 
trailer in the parking lotbecause i wanted to talk to some of the kids 
there. they were young Christians. i also talked with tommy boyce awhile, 
he was also on the tour. talked to Micky- he really is pleasant and 
caring.---he brought a dozen roses for this girl in a wheelchair-red. davy, 
if you're there, i know you remember me. you and me talked a long time. you 
were tired , and quite down, seemed a little lost, but you perked up during 
the conversation. and at first you were'nt gonna walk around, but after i 
went to the trailer, you went , too, anyway, hope you are doing well,

K E Y. There is no E in his name! You're not much of a fan of Micky's if

I have been a MONKEES fan from the beginning.  Now I have a son in the
music business.  I took him to see them LIVE when he was 11 years old. He 
is now 25 and is very appreciative of Mike's writing.  We both listen to 
their music.  I guess everyone has their faves, so mine is MICKEY.  I still 
have a crush on him to this day.  He has that one of a kind unique voice 
that stands out from other singers and you can tell he enjoys what he does 
and his singing comes from the heart. I never missed a Monkee show on TV 
and even recorded most of them on on reel-to-reel and still have them. So

got home from seeing micky at the mason heritage festival near cincinnati, 
and i was so pleased.  haven't seen him since the 97 tour, and he looks 
great.  he was in the zone tonight, particularly on "since i fell for you." 
and it was great to se coco again.  she sounded fantastic on different 
drum.  i must say micky was very complimentary to the other guys as 
songwriters, covering their stuff.  great job, mick,  thanks so much for a 
great end to my summer.

but the Monkees are better than ALL these groups that are out today. I saw 
Davy Jones in concert 4th of July weekend, he was WAY COOL and very funny. 
My favorite songs are "words"(Peter Tork sounds real cool singing 
background) and Listen to the Band.(Mike Nesmith is really impressive as a 
songwriter/musician and shows it on this song). I am a big Monkees fan. I 
hope they get back together for another concert. As Davy Jones said "If 
your old enough to remember the TV show, you either very young or youre 
bloody old."

Hey all you fellow groovy Monkee lovers!
I just wanted to tell all about Saturday, Oct. 21st, because I saw Micky in 
concert! My radio station (COOL 100 - Orlando) had a big Birthday Bash and 
it was like a street fair with concerts at night! And guess who was there! 
Yes, Micky! I thought it was the coolest thing because I am only in high 
school, making me a young Monkee fan. And I love my oldies music. My life 
revolves around my radio! So I thought it was so awesome that it just so 
happened that my beloved radio station had Micky Dolenz (the love of my 
life! :-) come to their Birthday party! And it was so much fun! Micky was 
absolutely awesome and I had a ball! My friends and I stood up in the front 
and screamed the whole time. Everybody that walked by us couldn't believe 
the hysteria for a guy they used to love when they were our age. They all 
gave us thumbs up and flashed peace signs and stuff like that. Now, Micky 
was on the stage that was floating far away in a lake and everybody elso 
was on the land - so Micky was really far away but he gave a great concert 
anyway! It was fab! And on our way to the parking lot after the concert we 
passed a restaurant that was hosting this entire event. And Micky was 
sitting inside eating dinner! We started screaming and we watched him eat 
his dinner through a window until he left! We had an absolutely wonderful 
time and if anybody ever has an opportunity to go see Micky (Or Davy, who 
does a great show as well) should! They are great! And I had a blast at the 
concert Saturday! Peace all you Monkee people! I love ya!

able to keep up with The Monkees, as they were one of my favorite groups 
back in the 60's. I eally enjoyed their show and their crazy antics. Also

and the Stampeders were performing a benefit. I saw Mickey Dolenz making 
out with a fifteen year girl. His tongue could not been plunged any deeper

a thirty-five year old has-been using his pseudo-popularity to get a little

touring again! That guy was right, tell Mike to put on that stocking hat 
and shut up!(heehee) The best collection of Monkees music that I've heard 
about was not mentioned. "Monkees Anthology" A two c.d. set which was put 
together after their 30 year anniversery. It has Micky's originaly intended
version of "Mommy and Daddy" on it. That song roks! Any way, I just wanted 
to say what was on my mind. Gatta bolt!

Hey hey I love the Monkees!

Hmmmmmmmmmm I write this with 
ease, knowing that whatever sillyness comes out will not be wasted on those 
who simply do not understand.  YOU know...being a Monkees 
fan...silly...happy....etc. etc. Fan since...I'm so old.  I don't recall.  
I saw them at a baseball game in Oklahoma.  I think I was 15 or 16.  All I 
know is at the time I desperately wanted to jump from my seat (4th row of 
seats) into their car and cling for life to my favorite (Micky).  Not too 
long ago, as I am only 27 now.  BUT enough of the yammering.  Cool site! I 
visit often and don't see that changing anytime soon! Ciao! 

The Monkees may have started as a 
"pre-fab" group, and hired as actors for a TV show. But, the fact remains 
that today, over 30 years later, the music is still revered by people of 
all ages.  David, Micky, Peter and Michael are the reasons I picked up a 
guitar as a 9 year old boy.  I still play the guitar, and am not embarassed 
to admit that I occasionally, still surprise friends when I play a Monkees 
tune they never knew was recorded by the group.  I am also a radio DJ, who 
has played Monkees hits for over 25 years.  I am glad to see time has been 
kind to the Monkees. Critics be damned.  The music was valid then.  It is 
valid today.  Time has proven that. Thanks, guys...for turning a young boy 
onto music.

drums (That would have left the big ham too far from the front of the 
stage.) Mike (Greybeard) Nesmith, the only one of the four with any real 
musical talent isn't even on the tour!(can't blame him, he must have better 
things to do) So you can go to the concerts if you want. Me, I'll save 
myself the cost of a ticket, and spin my old discs, so I an appreciate the 
Monkees for what they WERE: a few lucky actors singing great songs composed
by the likes of Boyce & Hart, Neil Diamond and Carole King played by some 
of the best studio musicians in the business!

just now. Sammie Dee, Audrey, (I know I probably spelled your name wrong, 
but I spell a lot of things wrong) I would like to say, you two are really

should have been offended by your answers, but like any one who has a since

You either have a very loose definition of "band", think "greastest" means
"of marginal impact" or think "all time" was a two week period in 1965!

As for how they (the Monkees) started out, it's the same way they ended up 
35 years later: with Micky doing the only thing he knows how to do - making 
funny faces for the camera.

If it wasn't for people like you, the Monkees might have had to find 
something else to do with their lives for the last THIRD OF A CENTURY! Now, 
THAT would be interesting. Maybe Micky could dance for some organ grinder.

Note to that DJ guy a couple of messages up.  So, the Monkees inspired you 
to pick up a guitar - (I notice you're not a guitar musician). Maybe they 
inspired you to sing Karaoke, too! Oh, I know! They inspired you to play 
records - 'cause that's the only way they can play music, too!

that I have loved the monkees for 12 years (I'M 24). I am lucky because I 
got to see them in concert once in 1987 ( without Mike). I would do 
anything to see them in concert again. If I had to chose a favorite monkee,

Hey Hey isn't it a Bee-Utiful DAY! How come Time magazine made George W. 
Bush "Person of the Year"? Why was Peter Tork ignored for the thirtieth 
consecutive year?

And why haven't the Monkees been considered for the Nobel Pizza prize? Some 
Korean dude beat out the boys this year.

I have it on good authority that the prez-elect is the #1 Monkees fan. I 
guess this means that all of you who have claimed to be the Monkees biggest 
fan will be dropped down a notch.

There is no truth to the rumour that Dick Chainee and Micky Dolenz are 
cousins. I have discovered that our favourite Monkee, the Mickmeister
himself, has been spreading this falsehood. It is true, however, that the
VP-elect thinks that the Monkees are the crappiest band of all time. The 
future Veep expressed his true Monkees feelings on the Tim Russet show by 
referring to "those Democrats as a bunch of Monkees". Hey, Hey, Dick, how
low can you go.

recent monkees fan, and and i think this page is great.  i can find all 
their records, and the pictures are neat.  i would recomend this page to

  I love the Monkees and have loved them 
for  a little over five years. I live in RI so there isn't many tour dates 
or fanclubs or anything of that manner here so I can't really talk with 
other fans or go to the concerts. Despite that I've stuck it out for five

i started in the 
second phase of the tv era.i was so in to the monkees.i even dreamed about 
them.i think i was eight.every waking moment of mine was spent playing 
their records. the first time i heard "valeri" i literally freaked out.i 
took up guitar playing at fourteen which i directly credit my influence to 
the monkees.oh, and led zepelin.i am truly grateful that the monkees 
happened and that they are still into their music. LONG LIVE the 
MONKEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  

I Love The Monkees! Never got to see them in 
concert, hope to this year for my 49th b-day!I have a couple doz. "MONKEE" 
magazines from the 60's. My favorite possessions.(smile)

I've been a big fan for many 
year's now. I'm 41 years old and I remember the time I sent out my first

I have been a Monkee fab 
from day 1 in 1966 when the show debut on Monday nights on NBC. Ihave seen 
the in concert 3 times in 1969,1986 and 1996. each time they were just 
great. I hope to have another chance to see the guys again real soon. HEY

I think that the Monkees are a 
heck of alot better than the Beatles! To tell the truth, I never really 
much cared for the Beatles all that much. I mean their songs are ok, but I 
just think that the Monkees music is just 100% better,than the Beatles 
music. I've have been a BIG Monkees fan since about 1986. So I would have 
been about 15 years old then, and I'm 29 years old now. So I've been a fan 
for about 14 years. I love listening to their music and I'll NEVER get 
tired of listening to them or watching their videos of their TV shows. I 
would also like to say that I am very glad that I joined the Davy Jones fan 
club. Well that's all I have to say except to say that the THE MONKEES ARE

My wife and I saw 1997 at Wembley Arena, we went not expecting too much but 
were pleasantly surprised and had a great evening. All the tracks sounded
